The Position

Recruiting a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine for an NHS Trust, on a permanent basis.

Health Service & Role Description

The hospital is located in North West England and the successful candidate will work with an established multidisciplinary team to input and help develop new models of care with acute frailty pathway, be responsible for the delivery of care in a 32 bedded elderly care ward as well as see patients in rapid access frailty clinics offering comprehensive geriatric assessment.

You will also contribute to and provide information and advice to community GPs and unplanned admissions from A&E.

Essential

International doctors who do not have NHS experience are welcome to apply but you must have worked at Consultant grade previously and qualify for specialist registration with the GMC.

The Package

- NHS salary banding £105,54 to £139,882 per annum AND value of 10% increase in starting salary, maintained every year for the duration of the recruitment premium (maximum 4 years).
