The Position
Our client is looking for a Locum Consultant Urologist with Special Interest in Robotic Pelvic Oncology.
This is a full time post (10PAs) and offered on a fixed term basis of 12 months, extendable. The hospital is in Buckinghamshire and NHS salary £93,666 - £126,281 per annum applies. Visa sponsorship is available for candidates that require. The post has a 5% on-call supplement.
The work will comprise a mixture of robotic prostatectomy work, there will be general urology lists available if desired. Peri /postoperative cover is provided by the on-call team including 24-hour urology registrar cover. The successful applicant will join the current team of seven consultants in a 1:7 on call rota with a fully staffed middle grade rota. The department is busy and provides a full complement of general urological services including Greenlight laser prostatectomy, holmium enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP), bipolar TURP, as well as subspecialist surgery including radical prostatectomy, robotic pyeloplasty and renal surgery including nephroureterectomy, mini supine PCNL, flexible ureterorenoscopy. We support the National Spinal Injuries Centre, and many of these patients have complex endourological treatment requirements.
Essential Criteria
- International candidates of NHS Consultant grade are welcome to apply
- Candidates must either have or be able to obtain full registration with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register
- Client is able to provide sponsorship for a work visa if required
