The Position
Job Purpose
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our clinic team as we develop services within the Trust. Applicants will be expected to provide SpR-level (ST3+) medical cover for our inpatients in the department of Medicine, working as part of a multi-professional team. The successful candidate will contribute to the medical on-call rota on an equal basis to the other 15 registrars in the division.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
We have a number of flexible ST3+ positions in Medicine available, with the option of a paid diploma, postgraduate courses, and the inclusion of a sabbatical for those of you with itchy feet! These posts would be perfect for doctors post Core-Medical Training/at registrar level who are keen to take a break from training, and gain experience or qualifications in your area of interest. We have redesigned our trust doctor programme following feedback from previous cohorts. Our flexible model aims to meet the needs of doctors who have decided to break from training. Post length is negotiable, and you will be offered the opportunity to express a preference on your medical wards.

The CQC rated the organisation as Outstanding for services being caring and well-led. The Trust was the first in the country to go from Requires Improvement to Outstanding in 2017, and is now the first to do this and then retain this rating. The Trust is currently one of only seven in the country to have been rated Outstanding twice, and one of only three general acute Trusts to achieve this.

Essential Criteria
Qualifications and Training
- Full GMC registration (E)
-MRCP or equivalent (E)
- ALS certification (E)
Knowledge and Experience
Experience in acute and general medicine at CT2 or equivalent level for at least 12 months with recent experience in the NHS (E)
- Experience in working at ST3+ level elsewhere (D)
