The Position
We are looking to appoint Consultant Acute Medicine Physicians, who share our values and enthusiasm, to build our services. The Trust sees these appointments as a key part of an exciting opportunity to develop an innovative approach to acute medical care. We want to hear from exceptional clinicians with a desire to provide excellent, personalised care to patients whilst also displaying leadership and personal drive to shape the service of the future.
Health Service
The Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute hospital and specialist healthcare services for approximately 800,000 people living in and around York, North Yorkshire, North East Yorkshire and Ryedale - an area covering 3,400 square miles. Our annual turnover is approaching £0.5bn.
They manage eight hospital sites and have a highly skilled workforce of around 9,000 staff working across our hospitals and in the community.

Essential Criteria
Hold a medical qualification registered with the GMC
MD or equivalent Higher Degree or evidence of relevant research
Hold of license to practise with the General Medical Council
Ability to supervise postgraduate research
Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in General (Internal) Medicine via;
Substantive NHS experience
An appropriate higher qualification
