The Position
Full time (10 PAs per week plus 1.5PAs on-call) Participate on the Consultant on-call rota for general medicine currently 1:14
The post holder will
Undertake Cardiology Outpatient clinics
Carry out inpatient ward and board rounds
Ensure that Estimated Discharge Dates are set on admission for inpatients
Speciality specific session (depending on skills) Support delivery of national targets (18 weeks, new to follow up ratios, length of stay)
Provide training and supervision to junior doctors
Participate in rolling teaching programme
Engage fully in consultant appraisal with a view to achieving revalidation.

Essential Criteria
Basic Medical Qualification M.R.C.P. or equivalent
On the specialist register/ with a CCT in General Internal Medicine and Cardiology via:
o CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview)
o CESR or o European Community Rights
Extensive training and experience in General Medicine and Cardiology in an accredited training programme.
Participation in Clinical Audit
Experience of teaching / educational supervision

£75,249 to £101,451/year
