The Position
This is an opportunity for a Radiology Consultant to join an NHS Trust in the North-West of England.
We are looking for the successful candidates to join our existing team of 7 Radiologists. The out of hours emergency radiology service is currently provided by a third party provider and as a result this post currently has no on call commitment.
Applicants should demonstrate a high level of radiology clinical experience and competence and development of subspecialty areas of interest in addition to core skills is encouraged.
The Radiology Service has departments on two sites. The Trust operates a fully integrated RIS/PACS with integrated voice recognition. In addition to providing the Hospital Trust with a comprehensive Radiology Service the department provides services to 170 General Practitioners, serving a population of 258,000 through 60 Practices and Health Centre’s

Essential Criteria
- Full registration with General Medical Council and License to Practice
- MBChB or equivalent.
- FRCR or equivalent.
- Wide training and experience in general radiology.
- Proven competence in Plain Film Reporting, CT, MRI, US and Fluoroscopy
- Paediatric experience
- Evidence of participation in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and commitment to these within the Trust.
- Evidence of recent and current research, with relevant publications.
The Package
12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
£82,096 - £110,683 per annum
Full time: 10 PA's
