A hospital in West Midlands requires a Consultant in Surgery to cover the following shifts:
Notes: Cross site working will be required, post based in RSH, activities off base site are limited to 2 sessions a week.
Start time is dependent upon activity, need to be available from 8 am and until 6 pm for theatre sessions. On call rota is 1:7 - any on call shifts are to be paid at 50% of usual rate.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS - Endourology with interest in stones disease and benign prostate disease. The department has recently upgraded its laser facilities to The Lumenis Mosses Pulse 120H to extend the use of Flexible ureterrenoscopy for larger renal calculi and enable development of Holep for benign prostate disease to compliment Urolift and TURis and enbloc bladder tumour resection. The prostate cancer pathway provides MRI fusion, template and transperineal biopsy facilities. The department has well embedded Covid surgical pathways and Covid clean areas. Combined with the low levels of virus experienced within the county this has enabled a wide range of services to be safely restablished. Telemedicine clinics are well established including video consultation facilities.
