Skilled Medical Celebrates 15 Years of Service

This year marks Skilled Medical's 15-year anniversary in medical recruitment and a celebration of the company’s remarkable success and leadership through the years.

Dr David Campbell established Skilled Medical in 2005 with a mission to deliver medical services which make a difference in health care, especially in underserved Australian rural, regional and remote areas. Since then through an ongoing commitment to excellence and a drive to push the business to new heights, the company has grown in significant ways.

Today, Skilled Medical is a leader in medical recruitment with offices in Melbourne and London and almost 50 employees managing the provision of medical staff wherever they are needed.

Dr Campbell said “We started placing doctors in rural settings in March 2005. By 2020 thousands of doctors have been placed by us in temporary and permanent roles throughout Australia, as well as in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The medical professionals we place and the clients and communities they serve are the backbone of our business.”

Skilled Medical aims to provide leadership by delivering unmatched professional and personalised service levels to medical professionals and clients. Our values, people and systems help guide everyday interactions and have largely shaped the company success. “We could not have got to where we are without our wonderful staff” Dr Campbell said.

With ongoing medical staffing shortages worldwide, medical recruitment and placement firms such as Skilled Medical play a vital role in assisting communities by sourcing, screening and mobilising locum and permanent medical staff for hospitals and health services.
