Our client is an NHS Trust in London looking for a locum Consultant Infection/Microbiology.
This is for 6 months initially but with a view to extend.
The postholder will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of the Trust's Infection Prevention & Control and AMS agenda.
A full job spec can be provided to candidates but some of the brief duties include:
- to provide clinical expertise in reducing risk and managing individual patients, including prevention and management of infections in ICU
- to provide clinical leadership in emergency preparedness and in managing outbreaks
- engagement with stakeholders in the local and national health economy
- ensure Trust-wide learning is evidenced and supported
- to provide clinical input into the IPC-related policies
In order to be considered all candidates must have:
- an understanding of the IPC needs of a large healthcare/NHS provider
- Post Graduate Qualification to at least Masters Level
- successful track record and experience within a prior clinical leadership role in the UK
- full GMC registration with no restrictions
- the Right to Work in the UK
