Locum Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist required for a Recovery & Support Team (RST) in South West London.
The employer is a Mental Health NHS Trust and this post involves 10 PAs. 7.5 for Direct Clinical Care and 2.5 for Supporting Professional Activities.
The clinical sessions are within the RST and as the Consultant you will be responsible for:
- Joint leadership of the RST with Consultant colleagues
- Provide evidence-based clinical treatment, care, risk management with a strong recovery focus
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals such as GPs where required
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure the service is run smoothly with safe and clear processes
There is an expectation of 1:20 on-call split between two rotas. For the on-call element you will either cover inpatient wards or be based in a local A&E department. Both are supported by middle grade doctors.

In order to apply you must meet the following minimum criteria:
- full GMC registration
- MRCPsych or equivalent
- Included on the GMC's Specialist Register
- Section 12 (2) approval under the Menal Health Act
- have at least 6 months prior UK experience at Consultant level in the UK.
