The Position Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine Applications are welcome from candidates wishing to work either full or part-time as a Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine. These posts will work alongside our team of Consultants while at the same time developing a special interest with appropriate accreditation The Trust has recognised that there is a national shortage of candidates for Specialty Doctor vacancies in some specialties. Therefore the Trust has agreed to award a recruitment premium to these posts for up to four years. The recruitment premium we would like to offer for this post is in addition to the salary for the individual post. Typically the rate will be 15% of starting salary. There will opportunities for supported special interest (such as Pre-Hospital Care, Expedition Medicine, Mountain Medicine and Simulation). The trust will also provide support in completing the competencies required to CESR and rotations through different specialities to achieve this. Working as part of a 24hr middle tier rota, the post holder will be expected to independently assess and manage Emergency Department presentations (in adults and children) of both minor and major illness and injury - supervised by the duty Consultant - while providing support to the junior composite workforce. As well as providing clinical cover, you will also undertake administrative, teaching and supervisory duties as part of the Specialty Doctor role The Location North West England Essential Criteria GMC registered MRCEM or Equivalent Previous UK experience The Package £45, 124 - £77,519 Skilled Worker (Tier 2) Visa Certificate of Sponsorship The post currently attracts a discretionary recruitment premium of up to 15% (based on basic salary) per annum. This is payable for up to 4 years and is reviewed by the Trust on an annual basis.
