The Position
Do you want to join our dynamic team of eight Gastroenterology Consultants and work in a supported team of professionals to develop your career? We’re seeking two consultants to join our expanding team and department. These posts are part of our drive to expand the total number of gastroenterologists to twelve across both sites.
Consultant colleagues have interests in endoscopy (including endoscopic ultrasound), inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition and hepatobiliary medicine. There are opportunities for you to develop your own interests in a variety of sub-specialties including advanced complex polyp removal, IBD, hepatology, ERCP, EUS, capsule endoscopy and bowel cancer screening. We strongly encourage self-development and are willing to offer one or two sessions weekly to achieve your sub-specialty interests.
Health Service
The gastroenterology team are active in a wide range of research activities including participation in many NIHR portfolio studies, and there is an exciting opportunity to expand this across both sites to become a leading centre for research in both South Yorkshire and the wider Yorkshire and Humber footprint. We offer all new consultants a structured mentorship program with the clinical lead on monthly basis for the first 1-2 years.

Essential Criteria
MRCP or equivalent
Experience in the management of a Gastroenterology caseload
Skill in diagnostic and therapeutic upper G/I, Endoscopy and Colonoscopy
Experience in GIM adequate to manage GIM ward caseload and on call.

£82,096 to £110,683 pa
