The Position
Full time 10 PA's per week plus 1.5PAs on-call
The successful candidate can play a leading role in shaping the future of cardiology and improving further on care provided to our patients.
- Undertake Cardiology Outpatient clinics
- Carry out inpatient ward and board rounds
- Ensure that Estimated Discharge Dates are set on admission for inpatients
- Speciality specific session (depending on skills)
- Support delivery of national targets (18 weeks, new to follow up ratios, length of stay)
- Provide training and supervision to junior doctors
- Participate in rolling teaching programme

This post will be required to deliver inpatient cardiology support at at a hospital with 18 inpatient beds in addition to 4 Coronary Care beds.

Essential Criteria
Basic Medical Qualification M.R.C.P. or equivalent
On the specialist register for both Cardiology and GIM or within 6 months of achieving this.
Knowledge and experience of Cardiology
Desirable Criteria
MSc, MD or PhD
