The Position
Full time (10 PA's) Consultant in Community Paediatrics (Neurodisability)
- He/she will provide consultant paediatric input for neurodevelopmental clinics within a multidisciplinary team
- He/she will participate in social communication assessment as part of a multidisciplinary team Contribute to the provision of a neurodevelopment assessment service within the Child Development Team.
- He/she will assess and manage children with neuro-disability in close collaboration with therapy, education and primary care colleagues. He/she will contribute to the undergraduate medical teaching programme
- He/she will be Educational/Clinical Supervisor for Community & Neurodisability Speciality Trainees. He/she will assess and manage children with neuro-disability in close collaboration with therapy, education and primary care colleagues.
- Will work closely with other departments and agencies relevant to the job, in particular Social Services, Clinical psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Education.
Neurodisability clinics will consist of the following:
- Dysphagia Clinic
- Complex Epilepsy Clinic
- Neuro-orthopaedics Clinics
- Spasticity management clinics
- Jack Tizzard School Clinics
- Complex sensory impairment clinics
Health Service
The service is committed to a child and family centred approach. We offer: A consultant-led assessment and treatment service for children up to the age of 19 with a wide range of developmental difficulties, clinical nurse specialists, clinical psychology, music therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

Essential Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCPCH or equivalent
- On GMC’s specialist Register in paediatrics
- CCT/CCST in Community Paediatric medicine or a UK specialist trainee within 6 months of CCT/CCST on interview date
The Package
£82,022 - £109,830 per annum plus LW
