The Position
This NHS Trust are looking for a dynamic and motivated Consultant in Medical Microbiology to join the team. Their responsive and forward thinking department is looking for a full-time microbiologist (10 PAs) to become a member of a team of four consultants based in the Department of Infection Sciences. The Department of Infection Sciences consists of Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology
The successful applicant will be encouraged to support the development of a joint microbiology and virology consultant team. The virology service offers viral serology and molecular tests, and provides services to other trusts within the UK and Ireland. The immunology and virology laboratories are fully integrated with shared staff and platforms but with separate clinical leadership arrangements. The immunology laboratory is a national reference centre for Bird Breeders and Farmers Lung.

Essential Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent
- Full GMC registration
- FRCPath or equivalent
- High standard of clinical skills and expertise in clinical microbiology
- Experience of and commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
The Package
- 10 PA + 1 in 4 Salary: £82,096 - £110,683 per annum
- Relocation assistance of up to £8,000 may be available for successful applicants moving to the region.
