The Position
We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our team in the position of Consultant Physician in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Undertake General Medical / Respiratory clinics
- Undertake Rapid Access Lung Outpatient Clinics
- Carry out inpatient ward and board rounds
- Support delivery of the NIV service on the respiratory ward
- Perform bronchoscopy procedures (including EBUS)
- Attend Lung MDT cancer meetings
- Participate in Trust wide development and provision of a pleural service
- Provide training and supervision to junior doctors
- Participate in rolling teaching programme
- Engage fully in consultant appraisal
Health Service
The Respiratory department’s permanent staff consist of 3 consultants, 2 lung cancer nurses and 2 Specialist Respiratory Nurses. We are supported by trainees from the Deanery and an excellent admin team comprising personal assistants & medical secretaries.

Essential Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent
- Full GMC registration
- Entry on the Specialist Register for General Medicine or Respiratory Medicine, or be within 6 months of achieving this
The Package
10 PA's + additional PAs for on-calls
Salary - £75,761 to £103,490
