A hospital in East of England requires a General Practitioner in General Practice from ASAP for 3 months initially.

This will be a Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 (37.5 hours) position.

This health service provides GP services to the vulnerable adult community in Norfolk. This includes the street homeless, those in hostel, "sofa-surfers" and asylum cases. The cohort of patients have a varied range of medical issues both simple and complex. Their needs are often complicated further by drug and/or alcohol dependency. Some prior knowledge or experience of working with this cohort of patients is desirable as is a knowledge and understanding of mental health.

GP services to vulnerable adults. Managing a variety of conditions typical of those presenting in a city centre GP practice. Alongside this the vulnerable adult community will have a range of conditions as a result of rough sleeping and drug and alcohol dependency.

Skills required are an individual who can work with this sometimes challenging group of patients. Calm yet firm behaviour and the ability to manage expectations particularly around drug dependency.

Excellent communication skills and a higher level of tolerance of unpredictable behaviours is required.
