We are currently working with a Private Weight Management Service in Lancashire who are looking for a doctor every Thursday 11:00am-20:00pm.

The client is a regulated CQC regulated medically assisted slimming clinic which has been active for over 25 years. It services a wide variety of patients between 18-70 years old.

The candidate would be running their own clinic with the assistance of the Clinic Manager and receptionist. The candidate would be seeing patients on a drop in basis. They’re role is to assess new patients for eligibility for pharmaceutical treatment to assist weight loss. This includes the prescription of a centrally acting appetite suppressant Phentermine. They would be taking a medical history, lifestyle assessment and simple examination. They would be required to guide a patient through diet/exercise advice to promote weight loss and explain any pharmaceutical interventions.

Previous experience in obesity care/weight management is ideal but not a necessity. An interest in nutrition/lifestyle or preventative medicine is also ideal.

Training will be provided and paid shadowing experience will be provided.
